Dangerous Driver Hits Limo...

The chauffeur of a limousine working for a hire company in New Hyde Park was killed recently when a drunk driver collided with his limousine. Rabinowitz was chauffeuring family home from a wedding when his limousine was struck head on by an alleged drunk driver. The chauffeur and a seven year old girl riding in the limousine died. Having sent another chauffeur out to see what was wrong, he was confronted by the crash. The chauffeurs had even received a note on the Friday before the holiday weekend to be extra careful because of the likelihood of there being a higher number of drunk drivers on the roads; an ominous foreshadowing of the weekend’s events.

Rabinowitz’s Lincoln Royale limousine was hit by the Chevy pickup truck which was travelling the wrong way on the parkway. The damage to the limousine was so bad that emergency workers had to cut a hole in the side of the vehicle to pull the victims out.
